Our Blue Whales Team is headed to the
National Field Hockey Festival!
November 25 - November 27th, 2021

We are so excited to attend the 40th National Hockey Festival at the Tournament Sportsplex of Tampa Bay in Florida this Thanksgiving!
The tournament runs from Thursday, November 25 through Saturday, November 27 and we will take a full field 11v11 U16&U19 Blue Whales Team to play at least 6 full games during the weekend.

The team will practice August 29th through tournament time!
We will practice once a week during Fall and then three times a week after high school season until the tournament. We will do our best to accommodate everyone's schedules when creating practice times as we expect FULL commitment from all players at all practices.
We will look to take a maximum of 18 field players and 2 goalies.
​
There will be a Practice and Team Fee for the tournament to include travel, accommodations, tournament fee, as well as for practice time leading up to the tournament.

Fall practices will take place at Hart Park the following dates:

Once high school season ends, weekday and weekend practices will be scheduled according to team and coach availabilities. The team will likely practice twice during the week and once on the weekend.

Saturday, October 9th 10:00am-6:00pm Attend Narwhal Games MS Tournament hosted by LIFT. Earn fundraising credit by helping run the tournament and motivating your younger teammates!
TEAM TRAVEL
We will travel as a team and have booked the below travel details:
FLIGHT
Milwaukee to Tampa: Flight WN2475 on Wednesday, November 24th - Take off Milwaukee 2:45 PM.
Tampa to Milwaukee: Flight WN2215 on November 27th - 10:10pm departure and 11:55pm arrival into Milwaukee
HOTEL
Rooms are blocked at the Courtyard Marriott Tampa Brandon at 10152 Palm River Rd, Tampa FL 33619.
Parents are, of course, more than welcome to come and cheer and be with the team, but do not need to travel to FL if they have other commitments.

TEAM PAYMENTS
There will be three sets of payments due as follows:
DEPOSIT
Cost: $100
Due: Upon Sign Up
The Festival Deposit is due upon sign up to reserve your spot on the team. It will be put toward final tournament fee.
​
FALL FEE
Cost: $200
Due: August 28th
Fall fee will cover weekend practices and scheduled scrimmages and is due before our first practice.
​
FINAL TOURNAMENT FEE
This final payment will be determined closer to the date of the tournament and will include the rest of the cost minus fundraising totals for each individual.
​
We estimate payments to be around $960 total per player for the full experience.
